Advanced Mobile Applications Intern

August 2016 – Present

  • Works remotely over the school year, but was on-site during summer 2017.
  • Enhances the MyHumana and Go365 mobile apps which have a combined total of over 50,000 daily active users.
  • Development includes front-end work primarily for Android and back-end microservices work in C#.
  • Utilizes Extreme Programming (XP) methodologies such as test-driven development, paired programming, code peer reviews, and week-long development cycles.

Mobile Applications Intern

May 2016 – August 2016

  • Built a proof of concept Android application that was demoed at the end of the summer internship.
  • Developed a Java RESTful API hosted on Pivotal Cloud Foundry which was consumed by our Android app.
  • Attended product meetings, collaborated with designers, and worked alongside three other IT interns.

Web Developer

October 2015 – May 2016

  • Created and maintained websites using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Worked closely with a designer to ensure constructed sites matched compositions.


Android Developer

September 2016 – February 2017

  • Developed the SpartaHack 2017 Android application which had over 300 installs the weekend of the hackathon.
  • Used frameworks such as Retrofit, Realm, Butterknife, and Robolectric, and Junit for production.
  • Coordinated volunteers, managed help desk, and mentored during the weekend-long event.

  • Strengthened the MSU student body’s technological skills through hosting workshops and organizing hackathon trips.
  • Managed communication with other student groups and marketed through social media, flyers, and in-person events.
  • Presented a few workshops; Open APIs in Python, Advanced CSS, and more.
